What to expect during the Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment?

PRP is obtained by drawing a small amount of your own blood and placing it into a centrifuge. The centrifuge rapidly spins the blood sample, isolating the platelets and growth factors from other components of your blood and concentrating them into the plasma. The plasma is then drawn into a syringe and injected into the treatment area. PR is commonly injected into the scalp for hair loss and into the skin of the face and neck for skin rejuvenation. PR can also be applied after microneedling for a synergistic effect. Since PRP is derived from your own blood, there is no risk of allergic reactions.
